| The Wire: VITEK
High Performance Series spark plug wires are a 8.5mm diameter
wire constructed with the best components
available. The wire begins with a new combination nylon/Kevlar
conductor impregnated with ferrite, wound with a copper/nickel
alloy metal. The nylon/Kevlar combination in the conductor
increases the pull-off strength an additional 10-15 lbs. The
low 25 ohm reactive core conductor is the lowest available.
The jacket of the wire is a low specific gravity silicone that
will withstand up to 500º F. Low
specific gravity (while more expensive) increases the "tear" strength
of the jacket and the insulating properties. Low specific gravity
means less foreign material is mixed in the silicon. Very few,
if any, ignition wire manufacturers use this material because
of the cost.
The low resistance Vitek High Performance wires are also triple
insulated which allows the user to run ignition upgrades as
well as audio upgrades without experiencing engine noise through
the stereo amplifiers and speakers. Vitek Performance Series
ignition wires are rated at 25 ohms per foot. The wire comes
in Bright Red with Silver Vitek insignia printed on the wire.
Terminals: All terminals,
except where brass is required on the distributor end, are
stainless steel snap lock terminals for a more snug fit. Brass
terminals are machine bent everywhere a bent terminal is required.
The Boots : All boots at
the spark plug side and distributor side are silicone. All
phenolic tubes are batch tested for dielectric strength - must
exceed 50,000 volts to pass the test or the batch is rejected.
WARRANTY: High Performance Series wire sets
are guaranteed to the original consumer purchaser for the life
of the vehicle on which they were originally installed. Refer
to the package for specific details. The enclosed warranty
card must be filled out and returned within 30 days the original
purchase date (See
wire warranty information). |
