- Keep your hands clean throughout the installation process.
- If possible, remove the hoses completely from the vehicle.
- On small vacuum hoses you might have to work the braid on
little by little.
- Expand the braid as you go by pushing it together from each
end.
- Always cut the braid longer than the hoses. As the braid
expands, the length of the braid decreases. (THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT)
- Try not to cut the braid until the hose is completely covered.
- Trim off the ends and use the heat shrink to ensure a proper
fit.
- WHEN YOU ARE USING A LIGHTER ON THE HEAT SHRINK BE CAREFUL
NOT TO BURN YOUR HANDS AND BE VERY CAREFUL NOT TO IGNITE THE
FUEL LINE. REMOVE THE FUEL LINE BEFORE YOU BEGIN THE INSTALLATION
PROCESS.
- We recommend that you use a heat gun if possible.
- Do not use harsh chemicals or bleaching agents to clean the
braid. Use a wet hand towel with very little soap to clean.
- Make sure that you know exactly which lines you will be working
with before the installation process begins.
- DO NOT RUSH,
take your time. You can't expect quality work in a short
time.
