Vitek Performance Products was started in 1996 by two car crazed guys intent on developing only state of art premium quality performance products.

We started out focusing on the rapidly growing Import sector of the automotive aftermarket. We found this new generation of Hot Rod enthusiasts to be not only a lot of fun to hang out with, but also extremely knowledgeable about tuning. The young car builders had changed the rules for traditional Hot Rod building.

First , looks are extremely important to the import enthusiast but performance is most important. Second, I can remember standing there with my timing light for hours trying to tune my GTO, but these guys roll up next to you at a stop light with a laptop tuning the car while they are rolling. They don't want just any products on their cars they want the highest quality and the best look. So the owners of Vitek went out and started doing extensive market research to find out what exactly that market wanted for their cars. Because one of the partners had been with NGK for several years and had quite a lot of knowledge in ignition, they developed an ignition wire built only with the highest-grade components available. There are no corners cut.

The Vitek guys started attending car shows around the country and imbedded themselves into that niche market. At the same time, because we were located in the NASCAR Belt ( Atlanta ), we were approached by engine builders interested in a new technology, which is a heat activated low-resistance wire that would effectively block RFI's. This is really important for Racing Teams running high energy ignitions with high engine compartment temperatures. The wires were tested at Daytona and were found to shave 1/100 th of a second per lap. Vitek then started working with Richard Petty Racing and supplied all RPR Driving school cars. They ran them for couple of years under severe torturous conditions.

During this testing, Vitek became much more involved with the import scene, the Low Rider scene and the benchmark Hot Rod scene. Then in 1999, after becoming successful with ignition wire products, we decided it was time to start looking at other products for development. We came out with performance clutches available in six stages, Cro-Moly half- shafts for the high horsepower front wheel drive cars, and Limited Slip differentials.

In 2002, we started cutting Diamond Plated floor mats and other decorative accessories. Our newest product is racing seats. We only wanted to offer a real high-end leather seat because our name has become synonymous premium products. These seats are right up there. Our theory has always been, "Give 'em What They Want". We know, because we are enthusiasts ourselves. We wouldn't produce any product that we wouldn't buy for our own cars and trucks. Vitek's foundation has been built on the premise that nobody is more important than the customer. The customer must be happy and this is the cornerstone of our successful, growing company.
